About Inflamed Brain Alliance
Inflamed Brain Alliance (IBA) is Canada's only national registered charity dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by PANS (Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome) and PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections).
PANS and PANDAS are complex neuroimmune conditions that can cause the sudden onset of severe psychiatric, behavioural, neurological, and physical symptoms, dramatically changing a person's life and leaving many families searching for answers.
IBA works to improve recognition, diagnosis, treatment, and support through education, research, advocacy, and peer support. We bring together families, healthcare professionals, researchers, and community partners to advance understanding and improve outcomes across Canada.
